Cienfuegos is wonderfull city
The Jagua Hotel, which is three kilometers away from the historic heart of the city of Cienfuegos, the capital of the Cuban province of the same name, is considered an ideal place for a comfortable stay. The establishment's location provides guests with an easy access to places of historic and cultural interest that gave the region prestige in the 19th century, including the Tomás Terry Theater and the Purísima Concepción Cathedral. The hotel is the starting point of excursions to the city of Trinidad and the Escambray Mountain Range, and has been visited by prestigious personalities from the fields of politics, the arts and sports.

Hotel Jagua Cienfuegos earns one wise old owl eye for its beautiful coastal setting, views of the sea, spectacular sunsets, and proximity to and view of the adjacent Palacio Del Valle. In other words, the Hotel Jagua can be heralded for all that is out of its control. Unlike the many other accommodations and restaurants I visited in Cuba, this one sports miserable desk help (the ladies in the lobby shops are lovely, on the other hand), lack of air conditioning, elevators that do not stop on all floors and that are extremely slow when they work, unclean rooms, lack of secure door locks on room doors, and inedible food in the Escambray restaurant. This varied widely from my other experiences in Cuba that included friendly, warm-spirited people, clean environs and the pride of an indomitable people. If you find yourself at the Hotel Jagua, be prepared and make the most of it. This includes having your own toiletries, eating a banana for breakfast, and purchasing coffee or espresso, since the ones included in breakfast are undrinkable. Safe CUCs for water, too, since it is not included in breakfast. Havanatur might want to consider looking into the management of this hotel and Insight Cuba might want to make sure it does not house its clients at the awful Hotel Jagua Cienfuegos.
