Review about Saratoga Hotel

Exclusive
The Saratoga Hotel is an elegant eclectic construction with a neoclassic style tendency, located in a busy intersection in Old Havana, on the corner of "Prado" Avenue and "Dragones" Street. Located across from the "Capitolio Nacional" (National Capitol) and "Parque de la Fraternidad" (Fraternity Park), the hotel provides an attractive view to the prestigious "Partagás" Cigar Factory and the "Gran Teatro de La Habana", an important cultural center in the Cuban capital. The hotel, built in the historic place once occupied by the legendary Saratoga Hotel, famous since it opened in the 1930s by its "Aires Libres" (outdoor cafés), its excellent gastronomic offers and performances by popular Cuban orchestras of the time, like the famous "Anacaona", which debuted at the hotel, gained prestige and fame by the frequent visits by well-known personalities of the country's cultural and social life. The present construction, erected from its foundations, except a part of the façade, has reproduced some elements of the original building, such as the lobby, great large windows of French carpentry, an ample vestibule and a magnificent terrace-lookout that provides a view of nearly 270 degrees, including the Bay of Havana and the Fortress of "San Carlos de la Cabaña" to the north, and a panoramic views of distant zones of the capital to the southwest. The building's interior design combines traditional elements with the most modern amenities to guarantee the best service and comfort. The hotel is perfect for the visitors who wish to enjoy both visits to places of historic-cultural interest and Havana's renowned nightlife.

“Very good hotel in an area you need to turn right ”
Stayed in this hotel for one night, and enjoyed the hotel. Very good sized room with a view over the street. The room can get noisy from the street and were on floor 7. It did quiet down though and we got a good nights sleep. The staf were helpful and had some very good recommendations for lunch and dinner, be careful here heaps of people solicit you for your business in many different ways and you need to be on your game. Our breakfast experience was average, the toaster had broken down and they had no orange juice and the eggs were average at best. We found the location very good walking distance to the old town but got advice to make sure we turn right out of the door and not left and this proved good advice . We would stay here again if we went back to Havana
